Be Thou My Vision is a traditional hymn with original Irish text going back to potentially the 8th century and which was translated into English a little over 100 years ago. It is a beautiful Irish melody and the lyrics are poetic and aspirational, inspiring our heart's desire to be for Him and Him alone.

Let these last two verses of the hymn inspire in each of us a greater devotion to Him:

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,

Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:

Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,

High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,

May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heav’n’s Sun!

Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,

Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

I hope this piano arrangement will remind you of the importance of having an "eternal mindset" and relying on God’s direction in our lives. I am reminded of the words from Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
